ABOUT THE SUMMIT

Join WLDA for our 2023 WLDA Summit, Nov. 9, 2023, in NYC, where over 100 F1000 tech leader attendees will hear from thought leaders, experts, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Whether you’re an investor, established executive or a founder, you’ll find the conversations both on and off stage insightful.

This is a full-day Think Tank-style event divided into two main sections. The morning kicks off with an introduction. Speakers include a series of forward-thinking entrepreneurs and digital pioneers sharing leading technology applications.

After a lunch break, the afternoon will continue with where thought leaders will present on several new tech topics. (see more on last year’s summit here: Summit 2022.

A leading voice in the beauty industry, with more than 26 years at The Estée Lauder Companies.

Reporting to Fabrizio Freda, President and CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies, Ms.  Lauder leads enterprise-wide efforts to combine data-driven insights with creativity,  including the company-wide strategy to leverage business insights and analytics to build  digitally-directed priorities to accelerate growth. Specifically, global and regional  corporate marketing, consumer and product marketing insights, global consumer care  and marketing planning, and advertising and promotion effectiveness. 

Ms. Lauder has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Estée Lauder  Companies Inc. since July 2009. Currently, Ms. Lauder sits on the Board of Trustees for  the New York Public Library, the Board of Directors of the Friends of the High Line in  New York City, as well as the Board of Directors Eventbrite. 

Ms. Lauder graduated from Stanford University and currently resides in New York City.  She is the granddaughter of the Founder and namesake of The Estée Lauder  Companies and the daughter of Ronald S. Lauder, Chairman, Clinique Laboratories, LLC.

Unstoppable Domains, SVP and Channel Chief

    Current Role

    Sandy Carter is SVP at Unstoppable Domains. She is responsible for driving new partnerships for Web 3.0, Metaverse, Blockchain, and NFTs.  

      Previous Roles

      Previously, Sandy was VP at AWS responsible for driving partnering in cloud, AI, IoT and blockchain. Sandy was a founder of a startup in Silicon Valley. In her last GM role at IBM, she ran the AI/ML Ecosystem.

        Sandy is the Chairman of the Board of Girls in Tech, and an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon SV.  She is also the author of Extreme Innovation and the founder of Unstoppable Women of Web3.

          Blockchain Association, Executive Director

            Current Role

            Kristin is the Executive Director of the Blockchain Association, the Washington DC-based trade association representing more than 80 of the industry’s leading companies. Kristin serves as a liaison between policymakers and the cryptocurrency industry to assist in the creation of legislation and regulation that promotes the growth of the cryptocurrency ecosystem in the U.S.

              Previous Roles

              Prior to leading the Blockchain Association, Kristin helped blockchain and technology companies achieve their public policy objectives in Washington. She served as a Senate and congressional aide on Capitol Hill for nearly ten years, much of which was spent focusing on technology policy. 

                Noteworthy Roles

                She is also a leading, public voice advocating for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry through top-tier media interviews, op-eds and letters to the editor, and global speaking engagements. Kristin is a board member of the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web, Skybridge Capital’s G and GII Funds, the Flow Foundation, and Prime Trust.

                    Current Role

                    Rachel Jacobson is the President of the Drone Racing League (DRL), the world’s premier, professional drone racing property. She spearheads global partnerships and media rights deals, and leads the marketing and business development teams, bringing to DRL her legacy of creating transformative partnerships with leading sports and technology brands. P

                      Previous Roles

                      Prior to DRL, Rachel spent 21 years at the NBA as their SVP of Global Partnerships, where she closed nearly $1 billion in partnership sales, and served as the Chief Business Development Officer at Landit, the market leader in personalized career pathing technology to increase the success and engagement of women and diverse groups in the workplace.

                        Executive Director at Venture Miami

                          Current Role

                          In his current role, Erick Gavin supports the growth of the Miami tech and innovation ecosystem through the office of the city of Miami as Executive Director for Venture Miami.

                            Previous Roles

                            Erick transitioned into technology, non-traditionally, by leaning on alternative education and Miami's growing tech community. Starting in product design and moving into data analysis, he found an appreciation for data as a tool to amplify his advocacy.

                              Noteworthy

                              Erick Gavin is an Ecosystem Builder and Technologist, using data and design to solve complex problems, create impactful technology, and serve communities who have been historically left out of the innovation and technology space. Along the way leveraging his legal background to advocate for greater opportunities and more innovative approaches in handling social-civic issues with technology as a tool. In that same vein, he began teaching about leveraging data for social impact to students at Watson Institute and Design Thinking through the University of Miami.

                              Consulting Managing Director with Deloitte Digital

                                Current Role

                                Bevin is an experienced digital strategist with over 15 years of experience working with global media and financial services companies across significant global digital initiatives. She currently leads a multidisciplinary team of designers, data scientists, developers, strategists, and user experience experts.

                                  Previous Roles

                                  Earlier in her career, Bevin was the Global Digital Capabilities Leader for a major international bank and led cross-functional and customer experience-driven transformation programs. Over the past eighteen years, she has led several successful CRM, localization, mobile, web, conversational.ai, digital marketing, Martech projects for her clients in the US, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru. Bevin holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona and Master’s from Northwestern University with a concentration in Communication Systems Strategy & Management.

                                      Current Role

                                      Kelley Cambry is a 1x exited founder, a third-generation entrepreneur—on both sides of her family—who has been in the fintech and computer science industry for over 10 years. Blue Studios, founded by Kelley Cambry, is based on the fundamental belief that families have the power to change the world, and it’s our job to provide families with tools and software to re-imagine what families can do together. Their first product is a family shared wallet, Wallio, making sharing and managing digital assets easy, safe, and secure.

                                        She studied finance and computer science. Kelley also spent time at Discover Card in Growth, and as an Assistant Vice President of Digital and Product Manager for companies like American Express and JPMorgan, driving consumer spend through her customer growth and engagement strategies.

                                          Kelley has presented for TEDx, ComEd, The Girl Scouts, General Assembly, New York University, Social Media Week, Internet Week, and at the Moth. Kelley's background is in building products that make people's lives better by making it easier for families to protect their wealth, specifically around digital asset management.

                                          Co:Create. Cofounder & CEO

                                            Current Role

                                            Growth-oriented leader that believes the tools of web3 will fundamentally alter the way the world works and what is possible. Broad industry experience from automotive to fintech to crypto. Bullish on the power of tokens to design better functioning and equitable systems.

                                              Previous Roles

                                              Tara Fung is the Co-Founder and CEO of Co:Create. She previously served as chief revenue officer of Alto, a cryptoIRA and digital asset IRA custodian, and chief commercial officer of CommonBond. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and the University of South Carolina.

                                                Rootstrap, CDS and head of ML

                                                  Current Role

                                                  Mikaela Pisani is a Computer Engineer with a Master's in Data Science. She is currently the Chief Data Scientist and Head of Machine Learning at Rootstrap. This award-winning custom software development agency has built web and mobile apps for startups, publicly traded companies, and public figures.

                                                    Noteworthy

                                                    She also runs Girls In Tech Uruguay, a global non-profit organization focused on the engagement, education, and empowerment of women and girls in tech, as well as educating children on STEAM. Mikaela is a member of a community of girls in AI called AI Wonder Girls and is also on the AI Research team at ORT University in Montevideo, Uruguay. In addition, Mikaela plays a key role as part of the interdisciplinary group ANT. ANT aims to create artistic devices by integrating its three core disciplines - Art, Neuroscience, and Technology.
